X-rays are a safe, non-invasive and cost-effective way to have a look inside the body and achieve quick results. Xray beams are scattered by variations in tissue density and produce a 2 dimensional grey-scale image. They are very helpful for assessing for tumors, organ size/shape/enlargement, gas patterns, foreign objects, bladder, kidney stones, fractures, dislocations and more. Sometimes, sedation is utilized for patient comfort and positioning.
We also have a digital dental x-ray unit to help us investigate and diagnose dental disease underneath the gumline. Based on this information, we are able to more accurately diagnose and treat ailments that are not visible upon physical examination alone.
