On Sunday September 21st, Burnhamthorpe Animal Hospital hosted a successful and fun-filled open house. Rain was in the forecast, but lucky for us the skies had parted by noon – just in time for the big day. Our veterinarians and support staff had a wonderful time, visiting with long-time clients and friendly new faces that we hope to see again soon. Many guests took the opportunity to view our entire facility with the guided clinic tours that were offered. Lots of snacks were available and enjoyed by all, complimentary doggy tattoos and nail trims were also available. Our door prize gift baskets were a big hit as well, lots of tickets were sold and all proceeds went to the Farley Foundation.
Many thanks also go to our friends and volunteers who came out to provide education and entertainment for everyone! Andrea Thornton from Royal Canin who supplied some great treats and nutritional information. Ray Lau with his dog Ace and Marianne Ivancsics with her dog Bliss from Search & Rescue Dogs Ontario put on an exceptional display of how well-trained search dogs can locate people in distress as well as a number of other items! Big thanks also to Robert Clendenning and his dog Cracker from Tri-Mark Canine Services who showed everyone what a well trained dog can do!
Thanks again to everyone who attended, and we hope to see you all next year.
