Associate Veterinarian
By the age of 4, Dr. Kristin Agius knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian. Since then, she has been the proud “pet parent” of an assortment of species including mice, hamsters, fish, a guinea pig, a ferret, rabbits, and several cats and dogs. She rode and cared for horses through her teenage years and began gathering experience in veterinary medicine shadowing an equine veterinarian and as a high school co-op student at Burnhamthorpe Animal Hospital in 2000. Dr. Kristin then joined our staff as a receptionist and animal care attendant while studying Biomedical Science at the University of Guelph. Her lifelong dream finally became a reality when she received her veterinary medical degree from the Ontario Veterinary College and joined our team as a veterinarian in 2008.
Her interests in veterinary medicine are vast and include rabbit and pocket pet medicine, as well as general surgery and dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her pets and family including her young son, Draven. She spends as much time as possible boating, off road trail riding and enjoying the outdoors in cottage country.
Dr. Kristin Agius feels it is very important that pet owners find a veterinarian they can develop a genuine and trusting partnership with and looks forward to meeting you and your pets very soon!
