About Burnhamthorpe Animal Hospital

The doors to Burnhamthorpe Animal Hospital first opened on January 5^th, 1986. At that time, Mississauga was a small suburb with sprawling meadows and fields all around. Over the years, Mississauga has become a busy and bustling city and our clientele has grown tremendously. We still serve many loyal clients who have been with us since the very beginning and we always welcome new clients and patients every day!

We are located in the heart of downtown Mississauga and are in close proximity to all major highways to serve you better! We are located south of highways 403, 401, 407 and north of the QEW. The area is well-serviced with public transit and we are also within walking distance to many of our clients.

We strive to create a trusting and honest relationship with our clients. It is important to us to work closely with our community to provide our patients and their families with quality, evidence-based veterinary care to suit all preferences and budgets whenever possible.

We realize that your pets are also important members of your family. Our clients want the best medical care possible for these important family members and we work closely in partnership with them to come up with the most ideal, cost-effective and comprehensive diagnostic, treatment and preventative care plans possible. Our clients often refer to us by first name and we promote a relaxed and professional relationship, developing close community ties and friendships along the way.

We treat dogs, cats, rabbits and pocket pets. Sorry – no birds or reptiles : (

Payment Options

We accept Cash, Debit, Interac E-Transfer, VISA and MasterCard payments. Payment is due when services are rendered.

For the safety of your pet, we recommend that all dogs and cats be on a leash or in a carrier while in our reception area.
